We are seeking both a full-time and part-time candidate for an on-site role of Optometrist located in Freeport, NY.
The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting eye exams, diagnosing visual problems, and providing appropriate treatment plans to patients.
The Optometrist will also provide advice and solutions to clients in order to protect their eye health and ensure that they receive the correct eyeglasses or contact lenses
Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (O.
D) Degree with an active state licenseStrong proficiency in performing comprehensive visual exams, including refraction and binocular vision testingDemonstrated ability to communicate complex eye nealth information to patients in a clear and concise mannerExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service and build trusting relationships with patientsA commitment to staying up to date on the latest advancements in the field of optometry through continuing education and trainingExperience with electronic medical records (EMR) and insurance billing systemsAbility to work in a team-oriented environment collaborating with opticians and support staff to provide optimal patient care
